| Product Features | Over the last year, I’ve been on the hunt for Leonard Cohen’s watch.Not the Timex Weekender he wore later in life. Not the CWC he wore in the 70s/80s. I mean the Swiss Army field watch he’s wearing in the 90s.*this is not Leonard Cohen’s personal watch. It’s the same model.Hodinkee referenced the photo but couldn’t ID the model, calling it a “Victorinox Swiss Army.” From what I’ve been able to piece together, this version was made roughly 1989–1992, in the era when Swiss Army watches were being produced for Swiss Army Brands Inc. (Victorinox may have been involved, but they weren’t the owner yet).The hard part: Swiss Army made a ton of similar variations. For months I could find plenty that were close, but not the exact configuration. Eventually I found ONE old website where someone had sold this exact variation years ago, which kept my hope alive. Months more of daily searches and search alerts later, I finally found a couple.I’m keeping the best example.😉What you’re looking at:• 37mm case• black case w/ integrated silver bezel (not an insert)• correct early slimmer case (later cases are thicker w/ different lugs)• smaller hands than the later versions• white dial with black numerals• “12” at 12 o’clock, shield logo directly under it• “Swiss Army” printed above 6 o’clockCondition: shows wear/scratches (see photos).Function: running well and keeping excellent time.Note: this listing is for the watch only.
